Muang Thai Life Assurance has been providing life insurance services to general public under the principle of integrity and fairness, while assuring lives of Thai citizen. Over six decades ago, the Company was founded with the unwavering intention to lessen government’s burden in providing social welfare and help building savings awareness and security for general public.

History of MTL
1951
Muang Thai Life Assurance was formally established on 6 April 1951 and was the first life insurance company to have received the Royal benevolence in granting the appointment as the life insurance company of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
1998
Muang Thai Life Assurance expanded the scope of business by adding non-life insurance which was Muang Thai Insurance (MTI).
2004
Muang Thai Life Assurance collaborated with business partners such as Fortis Insurance International N.V. and Kasikornbank Public Company Limited as well as launched the Muang Thai Smile Club program.
2009
Kasikornbank Public Company Limited increased the shareholding proportion in the Company in order to enhance the potential for developing the Bancassurance channel in full scale.
2012
On 1 October 2012, Muang Thai Life Assurance converted to public company limited and is an organization that truly upholds good corporate governance.
2013
Muang Thai Life Assurance has over 1.5 million customers and 23,000 agents, 146 branches, 84 agent offices, and 377 network hospitals nationwide.
